Strange side effects

A strange side effect that I am currently experiencing is itchy skin, Like I really don't understand why my skin is itching, I'm thinking it has something to do with a mineral or vitamin problem, perhaps it's psychological.

Also I noticed I am most tired when I am thinking about sleep. lol, In fact I do not feel at all tired when I am not aware of what the time of day is, or that it is in fact night rather than day, Oh well, I guess this can be coped with through lighting the area where you spend your time to appear no different from when it is day and night. I'm certain it is only important for transition phases so you really don't have to worry about it too much, anyways I have to hand in a bunch of journal entries in the morning , though my teacher doesn't really care if they are late I really should at least upload my journals off of my pocket PC.

Posting regularly

Well you know, I would love to, I really would, But it is not always possible. The reason afterall for my polyphasic sleeping is the fact that I need the time lol!. I could never get enough sleep before and It makes me feel excellent to polyphase. I will attempt to post more regularly from now on, but I really can't garuntee anything. You will also probably have to note that I will fill up a lot of my posts with advice, rather than experience, you can find lots of good posts of what people have done all over the place for instance:

informative
don't use his schedual
some random guy

and I would give you more but the trick really is to use google lol

On naps

Don't Miss them!
yep yesterday I decided to miss one nap cause I wasn't feeling tired (I had accidentaly slept right through till work after the last time I posted). Thing is that it is that you are not going to feel tired most of the time if you miss one nap, but it catches up to you and you don't wake up byyourself from your next one because you are totalled.

I also found that there is a certain to napping, I don't know what exactly would be the trick to falling asleep, though I do know it is to not think about anything in particular, not to have a train of thought or anything of the like or you will not fall asleep. Usually it is best to have a place or position or an article of clothing that when you put it on it makes you feel sleepy, Try not to sleep and be awake in the same place, because then you will associate the sleeping and non sleeping place and your naps won't be a great and your waking hours will seem very comfortable and as if you can fall asleep if you just lie down kind of thing.

Waking up is what you have to pay attention to. I personally don't need an alarm clock for waking up in the day, at night I still do, I suspect this is becuase my body is quite simply used to sleeping at night and it is still a psycological effect of simply being used to that kind of schedual.

When I do wake up by myself, I find it is best to lay there, with your eyes at least partially open so you don't fall asleep but so you do not cause too much commotion. The fact of the matter is these so called "naps" are a very deep state of sleep and shouldn't be fooled around with like you would with a normal one. Most people need time in order to recover from a deep nap. You have to lay there and simply feel your body waking up. I find that my body is much kinder to me and I feel much less tired if I simply allow myself three minutes to recover from deep sleep. Actually if I get up right away I feel tired for anywher from half an hour to an hour and a half, but if I do take those extra three minutes I feel completly awake and alert after my nap.

:D I hope that could aide someone later on in polyphasic sleeping
